Microprocessor Upgrade Relay Interface Cabinets
Microprocessor Upgrade Relay Interface Cabinets
RSA has a relay interface cabinet that significantly reduces installation time of microprocessor upgrades and is designed to aid installation ergonomics
The cabinet was designed at the request of a Class 1 railroad that was experiencing difficulty with the installation of a microprocessor upgrade package
The cabinet is installed into the high voltage cabinet’s module compartment next to the microprocessor chassis.
The box is designed to be quick connected to the microprocessor chassis and other components, thus significantly reducing installation time by eliminating a significant amount of individual point to point wiring that otherwise would be required.
The box is shipped on a pallet that is used to raise it to the locomotive cab window for installation. Electricians can then slide the cabinet through the cab window and quickly install it into the module compartment.
